Knocked back, stalled or cut short

Declined by a cash flow lender? Find your lender, then make your next move

A no from an online cash flow lender almost always comes down to what the bank statements showed on the day. Pick the lender you dealt with to see what usually trips up that kind of facility, then see how a fast $20,000 to $50,000 loan against property steps around most of it.

Why cash flow lenders say no (it's rarely personal)

Online cash flow lenders are built for speed, and speed comes from a tight rulebook. They read your business bank account, average the deposits, subtract what's already going out and decide whether a new daily or weekly repayment fits. When it doesn't, the answer is no, often within hours. The usual culprits:

  • Short trading history. Too few months on the statements to show a pattern.
  • Turnover under the minimum. Each lender sets a monthly floor, and a quiet stretch can drop you below it.
  • Lumpy or seasonal deposits. Big months and empty months average out badly.
  • Dishonours and overdrawn days. A handful in a quarter can be enough to end it.
  • ATO debt or a payment plan. Many cash flow lenders treat tax arrears as a hard stop.
  • Loans already stacked. Two or three daily-repayment facilities leave no room for another.
  • Defaults on a credit file. Often screened out before a person ever looks.
  • Excluded industries. Some trades sit outside a lender's appetite altogether.
  • Cash takings that never hit the bank. If customers pay cash and it isn't banked, the statements undersell the business.

What to do in the next 24 hours

  1. Get the reason. Reply to the decline and ask which part of the assessment caused it. One line is enough.
  2. Hold off on more applications. Same statements, same rulebook, more enquiries on your file.
  3. Write down the real deadline. Payroll on Thursday, a supplier on the 15th, an ATO date. That tells you how fast the money has to land.
  4. List what you own. A home, an investment property or commercial premises held by you or a fellow director is the key fact for a property-backed loan.
  5. Enquire once, accurately. Our 60-second enquiry doesn't touch your credit file, and a real person comes back to you.

When an unsecured loan is still the right tool

Cash flow lenders suit plenty of companies: steady deposits, light existing debt, no property, or an owner who simply doesn't want a mortgage involved. If that's you and the decline was about something you can fix in a month, fixing it may be the smarter play. Our pages on patchy cash flow and stacked loans explain how.

Where Company Cash fits

We're the quick in-and-out option. Loans of $20,000 to $50,000, secured on residential or commercial property (up to 80% or 70% of value), with no valuation, no cash flow records, no financial statements and no tax returns. Bad credit, defaults and ATO debt are considered. Up to three months of interest can be prepaid, then repayments are weekly, and funding can land in as little as 24 hours once approved. If you've been messed around rather than declined, or you just want to know how a no-valuation loan works, start there.

Declined by a cash flow lender: common questions

Why would a cash flow lender decline a company that's trading well?

Because the test is narrow. Cash flow lenders mostly read recent bank statements: how much comes in, how evenly, how much is already going out to other lenders, and how the account behaves on its worst days. A good business with a lumpy quarter, a few dishonours or two existing daily-repayment loans can fail that test while still being a sound business.

Should I just try the next online lender on the list?

Usually not straight away. Most unsecured cash flow lenders look at similar things, so the same statements tend to produce the same answer, and every formal application can add another enquiry to your credit file. Work out the likely reason first, then go to a lender whose test you can actually pass.

How is Company Cash different from a cash flow lender?

We lend $20,000 to $50,000 against the unused equity in residential or commercial property, up to 80% of residential value or 70% of commercial value. We don't need cash flow records, financial statements or tax returns, there's no valuation, and bad credit, defaults and ATO debt are considered. Funding can happen in as little as 24 hours once approved.

Does Company Cash need my bank statements?

No. Our loans are assessed on the property, what's owed against it, what the money is for and how you'll repay it. That's why the things that usually sink a cash flow application, like uneven deposits or dishonours on the statements, don't decide our answer.

Will asking Company Cash hurt my credit file?

No. Enquiring takes about 60 seconds and there's no credit check when you first enquire. A check only happens if you choose to go ahead with an application.
